Abstract: En Vaucluse, le « Colorado Provençal » de Rustrel, ancienne mine d’ocre à ciel ouvert et les galeries de Bruoux à Gargas, anciennes mines d’ocre souterraines, font partie aujourd’hui des sites touristiques les plus visités du département. En Luberon, les premières mines d’ocres sont exploitées dès la fin du XVIIIe siècle.
