Les plus anciennes céramiques chinoises du site de Trowulan

Abstract: Marie-France Dupoizat Among the Chinese ceramics found in Trowulan and its surroundings, some sherds come from productions known much before the emergence of the Mojopahit kingdom. The quality and the diversity of those ceramics show that rather wealthy settlements did exist in this area from the IX th century to the XII th century. The IX th century sherds are of a particular interest since the first written evidence about population in Trowulan and also in East Java are only dated from the Xth century.
