“…We greatly appreciate the comments by Sahinturk et al 1 They provide an excellent review of the nomenclature of the types of sacrectomies and considerations for lumbopelvic fixation and highlight that in our presented case the pelvic ligamentous structures and the sacroiliac (SI) joints were largely preserved. They question why instrumentation or sacroplasty was warranted at all given that the S1 vertebral body was not resected in its entirety.…”
