Abstract: OBJECTIVE Lewy body dementia (LBD) is an umbrella term describing two closely related conditions: Parkinson disease dementia (PDD) and dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB). LBD is the second most common cause of neurodegenerative dementia but is often underrecognized in clinical practice.
