Abstract:Intimate partner violence (IPV) affecting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ), and same‐sex relationships represents a relatively new, but growing topic of research in criminology and criminal justice. Studies examining LGBTQ and same‐sex IPV provide a preliminary understanding of prevalence, risk factors, and the impact of stigma on help‐seeking.
