Lichen ruber planus und Hepatitis‐Virus‐Infektionen: kausaler Zusammenhang?

Abstract: LP is not specifically associated with hepatitis B or C antibodies in the Caucasian population of Germany. The higher prevalences of HBV antibodies found in LP and URT patients may be a reflection of age- and sex-related factors rather than disease-specific exposure to HBV infections. The increased prevalences seen in patients with LP or URT compared to MM patients may suggest that HBV infection serves as an unspecific trigger for a specific immune reaction of another origin.

“…Dies gilt insbesondere für Hepatitis-Viren, deren Bedeutung für die Ätiologie des LRP noch nicht abschließend beurteilt werden kann. Zwischen einer Hepatitis-C-Erkrankung und dem Auftreten eines LRP wird ein signifi kanter Zusammenhang beschrieben [3,4]. Die Diagnose des LRP in seiner klassischen Form bereitet in der Regel keine Schwierigkeiten.…”

“…The presence of characteristic violaceous, flat-topped, polygonal papules associated with pruritus does not pose any diagnostic difficulty. However, histopathological confirmation is necessary where the clinical picture is not so classical, and in some clinical variants [1,12].…”

“…[13][14][15][16][17][18] Though there were several reports showing a higher prevalence of HBV with LP, a possible association between HBV infection and LP remains unclear. 19,20 Regarding association of HIV and LP, very few reports were there from India and the relation was not consistent. 21 We conducted a prospective study to assess the association of HCV, HBV, HIV infections with LP.…”
