In the context of the theory of legal policy being developed today, the author raises the question of the personal development of each person as the goal of legal policy. The author substantiates the crisis of the modern liberal understanding of the goals of legal policy, puts forward criteria for human development, identifies possible ways of developing legal policy in the field of ensuring personal development.
