“…Initially, the bacteria were cultured overnight as described above. Then, we prepared seven tubes for each isolate, containing 100 mg EMLA ® and 100 μL bacterial suspension (2 × 10 7 CFU/mL) as was performed by Kerenyi et al 6 The tubes were mixed for 1 minute and incubated for 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, or 24 hours at 35°C (streptococci in a CO 2 ‐rich atmosphere).
