Abstract: IntroductionSpecies belonging to the highly diverse hemipteran infraorder Gerromorpha (the semiaquatic bugs, or water striders) are adapted to life on the water surface, and have developed a wide range of morphologies and behaviours that make them evolutionarily fascinating.
