Life quality and living standards in big cities under conditions of high-rise construction development

Abstract: Abstract. Modern urbanization processes occurring on a global scale inevitably lead to an increase in population density in large cities. People assess the state of life quality and living standards of megalopolises under conditions of high-rise construction development ambiguously. Using SWOT analysis, the authors distinguished positive and negative aspects of high-rise construction, highlighted threats to its development and its opportunities. The article considers the model of development of the city's indu… Show more

“…Cambodia employed 99.7% of the workforce in 2019. In 2019, GDP per capita was US $ 1,643, which is about US $ 4.50 per day [10]. These countries have low unemployment rates, largely because their economies rely heavily on subsistence agriculture, which is labour intensive but seasonal.…”

“…The workload on the staff has also increased significantly, and it is almost impossible to recruit the missing personnel in the conditions of quarantine. “…The specific parameters are shown in Table 2. To save calculation time, the following optimizations are made to the test components: (1) The wall thickness of the column in the node and non-node areas of the test is set to the same size, and the concrete strength grade is consistent; (2) The spherical hinge base is removed, and the restraint method at the end of the lower limb steel tube concrete is fully fixed; (3) The out-of-plane restraint steel bar only restrains displacement along the axis of the steel bar. The loaddisplacement hysteresis curve under cyclic loading can well reflect the evolution process of the component from loading to failure.…”

“…With the acceleration of urbanization, modern high-rise buildings are rapidly developing with a new appearance [1][2][3]. As the building height increases, the lateral stiffness of the structure becomes a vital issue in the design.…”
