Abstract:A series of asymmetric pyridine‐bridged imidazole‐pyridine‐amino acid ligands was successfully synthesized and characterized by HR‐MS, 1H, 13C NMR spectroscopy. These ligands assisted palladium catalyzed C−H bond activation of imidazoles at the C5 position with aryl chlorides and aryl bromides without pivalic acid conditions. Various of less reactive aryl chlorides were allowed to prepare arylated heterocycles. The mechanism study indicated the structure role for amino acid and imidazole.
