“…Given that environmental stimuli such as light and temperature, can alter gene expression [26], we investigated whether modest changes in light intensity or temperature would affect gene expression variations. Exposure of seedlings to a relatively strong light intensity perturbed both trichome and stomata distribution patterns ( Fig.…”

“…S7B). Considering our findings that the gene expression of GL3 is influenced by temperature [26], we focused on H2A.Z, which is a key histone variant involved in the thermosensing process in Arabidopsis.…”

“…Surrounding the nucleus is a double membrane nuclear envelope in which nuclear pore complexes (NPCs) are embedded. The NPCs regulate the trafficking of proteins and RNA from the nucleus to the cytoplasm (Kaiserli, Perrella, & Davidson, ; Lamond & Sleeman, ). Chromosomes typically packaged as chromatin are localized throughout the nucleoplasm.…”

“…However, some of the nuclear substructures are kingdom specific. For example, the plant nucleus contains photobodies, whereas the animal nucleus contains promyelocytic leukemia protein (PML) bodies (Kaiserli et al, ; Lamond & Sleeman, ).…”
