Light‐emitting diode device for display of numerical data on any ultrasound oscilloscope

Abstract: By removing the light emitting diode (LED) chips from a commercial compact calculator and reconnecting the LED chips by cable t o the calculator, the author produced an inexpensive device t o display numerical data on any ultrasound oscilloscope screen. The chip is clipped to the face of the oscilloscope and photographed as part of the Polaroid or 70mm scan. Eight digits and one symbol can be displayed showing date, patient number, decibel level and position of scan.
