Light intensity, blood fraction, fasting and storage time affect blood biochemical metabolites in broiler chickens

Abstract: We determined the impacts of light intensity, blood fraction, fasting and storage time on glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) concentrations in 140 broiler chickens assigned to two light intensities (5 or 20 lux/m²) and seven fasting times (0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 h).
