Limbah Baglog Jamur Tiram Putih sebagai Kompos pada Cabai Rawit (Capsicum frutescens L.) Var. Hiyung

Abstract: Chili pepper is a plant that is favored by the community because its fruit has a spicy taste, so it is widely cultivated by farmers. One of the chili pepper varieties in Indonesia is Hiyung cayenne pepper which originally comes from Hiyung Village of Tapin Tengah District, Tapin Regency, South Kalimantan. In plant-cultivation, fertilization has an important role to meet the nutrient needs of plants. Fertilization to reduce environmental pollution can be done by using organic fertilizers, for example by giving … Show more

“…Saputra and Sari (2021) reported that peat and tidal soils given ameliorant, which has an alkaline pH, can increase the pH of the soil. Ameliorants with a high/alkaline pH contain Ca and Mg, which can replace the position of H+ on the colloid surface so that soil acidity becomes neutral (Jumar et al, 2021).…”

“…Detritus is fragments (ruin) of dead organisms (animals and plants) and remains of organisms such as animal waste, leaves, and fallen twigs, which are broken down by decomposers. Apart from that, another alternative for making organic compost is by utilizing baglog mushroom waste (Ayu, 2021). Cultivating white oyster mushrooms requires a medium for growing, namely using a baglog.…”

“…According to Jumar et al (2021) baglog waste from the PO cultivation process contains 49% carbon, 0.6% nitrogen, 0.02% potassium, and 0.7% phosphorus, so that baglog waste is widely used as fertilizer (Prabowo et al, 2020;Ayu et al, 2021;Jumar et al, 2021) and growing media (Widhiantara et al, 2017;Sugianto et al, 2020). One of the compost fertilizers from baglog waste developed by Jumar et al (2021) known to have fulfilled SNI with parameters of 40.07% water content, 14.38% carbon, 19.43 C/N ratio, 0.74% nitrogen, 0.5% phosphorus, 8.08% potassium, 6.38% calcium, 0.22% magnesium, and 0.0017% aluminum.…”
