Abstract:Plastics are receiving widespread attention as an environmental contaminant, but their role in disrupting the behavior and physiology of organisms remains neglected. Here, I highlight growing evidence that plastics have pervasive, non-toxic effects in aquatic ecosystems, especially on feeding interactions.
