Line source scattering from a step protrusion in a perfect electromagnetic conductor plane

Abstract: The present analysis discusses the line source scattering of electromagnetic waves from a step in a perfect electromagnetic conductor plane. The planes and the step have different impedances. The far field is calculated using an integral transform, the Wiener-Hopf (WH) technique, and an asymptotic method of integration. Some graphs showing the effects of various parameters on the scattered field are plotted, compared, and discussed.
