Abstract:Although nonlinear Alternating Current (AC) Optimal Power Flow (OPF) may provide more accurate results compared to linearized OPF models, many ACOPF problems are complex and may require high, sometimes infeasible, computational time. The linear Direct Current OPF (DCOPF) has been widely used in power system analysis; however, it has limitations regarding reactive power analysis, and it may cause significant error in distribution networks with a high R/X ratio of feeders. Moreover, most of the existing formulat… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
