A condition known as lower back pain occurs when the back hurts so much that it makes routine tasks difficult. Employees who use computers for work and spend much time sitting during the day can pose ergonomic risks. This research aims to determine whether the incidence of low back pain in employees of the Office of the Directorate General of New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) in 2022 is related to sitting posture while working. An analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach is the research method used. The research tool used is a questionnaire that collects primary data. After the data was calculated using the Slovin method, 53 respondents were selected randomly and used as samples. The results showed that there was no relationship between the division of departments (p=0.68) and the incidence of low back pain, but there was a relationship between sitting posture (p=0.605) and this condition, there was no relationship between slouched posture (p0.001) and conditions, and there was no relationship between the amount of time spent sitting at work (p=0.105).

Parkinson's disease affects the nervous system. It is described as a chronic, progressive condition brought on by a decrease in the number of dopamine neural receptors. Parkinson's disease incidence primarily rises with age, peaking between the ages of 70 and 79, but it stabilises in people in their 80s. Virtual Reality is given to Patients with Parkinson’s disease to help alleviate their overall symptoms of illness and improve their quality of life. From the 1960s to the beginning of the 21st century, virtual reality undergoes a four-decade transformation from sensoroma to augmented reality. The objective of the study is to determine the effect of Virtual reality in the rehabilitation of Parkinson’s disease. The study design is Quasi-experimental. Diagnosed patients of Parkinson’s disease (n=30) up to stage 4 of the Hoehn and Yahr scale were selected by purposive sampling techniques. Then these 30 selected were given to play a game of virtual reality that is Microsoft Kinect for 6 weeks, 4 days a week in Railway General Hospital. Baseline measurement tools were the Modified Unified Parkinson Disease rating scale, Modified Hoehn and Yahr rating scale and Schwab and England activities of daily life.

BACKGROUND: Epidemiological evidence underscores low back pain (LBP) as a prevalent and consequential musculoskeletal disorder, posing a significant public health challenge. Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) play a crucial role in the diagnostic process for LBP, with the Roland-Morris Disability Questionnaire (RMDQ) being a commonly utilized tool in evaluating LBP. OBJECTIVE: This cross-sectional study aimed to cross-culturally adapt and validate the Indonesian version of the 24-item-RMDQ among nonspecific LBP (NSLBP) patients. METHODS: The RMDQ scales underwent forward-backwards translation, readability, and content validity assessments with NSLBP patients (n = 137), with a mean age of 38.6±11.8 years (59% female). Psychometric testing included assessments of internal consistency and 1-week test-retest reliability, convergent validity with pain numeric rating scale (PNRS), and the Physical Component Summary (PCS) and Mental Component Summary (MCS) of quality of life (Short Form 12). The construct validity using confirmatory factor analyses (CFA). RESULTS: The findings of this study indicated a good internal consistency (Cronbach α= 0.80) of the translated instrument. Moderate to good repeatability estimates of all RMDQ items were demonstrated with the total ICC of the total RMDQ score of 0.90 [95%CI (0.85–0.94)]. The instrument correlations with PNRS, PCS, and MCS were 0.54, 0.60, and 0.23, respectively. The goodness-of-fit test further affirmed an acceptable fit of the data, although low factor loadings were found in several RMDQ items. CONCLUSION: Although the factor structure of the RMDQ scale warrants further investigation, the overall findings support its suitability for clinical application in Indonesian NSLBP patients.
