“…So, a photomicrograph in the case report of Urso et al 10 shows a papillary apocrine carcinoma, and the other reports 9,11 describe a spectrum of lesions including porocarcinoma, syringomatous carcinoma, ductal carcinoma, adenoid cystic carcinoma and mucinous carcinoma, but no solid apocrine type as described by Requena et al 2 Thus, our case is the first lesion observed in the axilla. Lesions frequently affect young adults, men more common than women, but lesions in elderly patients may occur 1–4 . Characteristically, these lesions grow slowly over years to decades with induration of most or all the reticular dermis and not uncommonly, the fat and skeletal muscle.…”
