Abstract:Biocatalysis is considered as a green and sustainable process for synthesis of chiral organic building blocks and active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). Lipase catalysed kinetic and kinetic dynamic resolution process is frequently used for in API or KSM synthesis. This review describes the reported synthesis of chiral API/KSM molecules using lipase enzyme, since last 10 years.
