“…CXCR5 expressing B cells stimulated by CXC13 coupled CpG-ODN can trigger the cytolytic effect of CD8 + T cells leading to the abrogation of metastasis in 4T1.2 tumour-bearing mice [23]. Resveratrol, Lipoxin, Glucosides of Paeony have also inhibited Bregs through STAT3 and/or ERK inactivation leading to a reduction in IL-10 and TGF-β levels thus exerting an anti-tumour effect [87]. B-cell homeostasis and thus polarity will largely be determined by the degree of inflammation within the tumour, factors such as tissue hypoxia, intra-tumoural vascularity, cytokine milieu and cellular infiltration are all factors which are likely to exert control over the pro versus anti-tumour B-cell balance but as yet there is little evidence describing the Breg/B effector ratio in tumour biology, and this is likely due to the transient inducible nature of Bregs.…”

“…Overexpression is associated with poor prognosis in urothelial cancer [73] Lipoxins (lipoxin A4) Suppressing the polarization of B regulatory cells [74] (vasodilator), heparin (anticoagulant), serotonin, dopamine, tryptase, and chymase. The mast cell activation stimulates the production of leukotrienes and cytokines (e.g., TNF-α) and the cell degranulation [86].…”

“…In the ascites of ovarian cancer patients, the frequencies of IL-10 + B cells are also positively correlated with the frequencies of CD4 + Foxp3 + Tregs [61]. In another study, when targeting Bregs by Lipoxin A4, the number of Tregs decreases in the draining lymph nodes and tumor tissues [80], thereby emphasizing the important effect of Bregs on inducing the frequency and distribution of Tregs. Kessel et al also demonstrated that human Bregs can enhance the expression of Foxp3 and CTLA-4 (markers for the suppressive capability of the function of Tregs) in Tregs through cell-to-cell contact [72].…”
