Lipids changes in liver cancer

Abstract: Abstract:Liver is one of the most important organs in energy metabolism. Most plasma apolipoproteins and endogenous lipids and lipoproteins are synthesized in the liver. It depends on the integrity of liver cellular function, which ensures homeostasis of lipid and lipoprotein metabolism. When liver cancer occurs, these processes are impaired and the plasma lipid and lipoprotein patterns may be changed. Liver cancer is the fifth common malignant tumor worldwide, and is closely related to the infections of hepat… Show more

“…The liver is critical in lipid metabolism. It absorbs serumfree fatty acids and manufactures, stores, and transports lipid metabolites (18). Lipids, mainly TGs, occur in hepatocytes and represent a hallmark feature of the pathogenesis of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (18).…”

“…Subsequently, they further improved the TE performance by preparing secondary doping PEDOT:PSS (Clevios PH 1000) free-standing fi lms and nanofi lms. [ 42,59,88,113,148 ] Inspired by the achievements, more and more efforts have been made to enhance the ZT values of PEDOT:PSS, and the value was signifi cantly increased to 0.42 by Kim et al, [ 82 ] which was the highest value among those of organic TE materials. Furthermore, Hokazono et al [ 38 ] successfully prepared a fl exible device composed of the PEDOT:PSS fi lm on a polyimide substrate functioned as a micro thermoelectric generator, as presented in Figure 17 a.…”

“…Moreover, organic acid metabolism was shown by synergy analysis to be significantly lower during the entire tumoriogenesis, which may be caused by the down-regulation of a variety of fatty acid, amino acid metabolism-related genes. Therefore, lipid, amino acid and their derivative, organic acid metabolism were attenuated during the occurrence and development of liver cancer, suggesting that liver injury induced by carcinogenic agent had negative effect on the metabolism of fundamental substances (Jiang et al, 2007).…”
