Líquen estriado no adulto

Abstract: Lichen Striatus is an uncommon inflammatory skin eruption of unknown etiology. It rarely affects adults, and it is characterized by abrupt onset of coalescent papules, in a linear disposition, usually on the extremities. Histopathology shows lichenoid reaction involving follicles and glands. Occasionally, there is overlap with linear lichen planus and "blaschkitis", the main differential diagnoses. It is reported here the case of an adult woman with erythematous violaceous papules on the right side of the neck… Show more

“…Keegan et al reported two pediatric blaschkitis patients and Fogagnolo et al observed an asymptomatic adult with facial lichen striatus [ 19 , 20 ]. In addition, Raposo et al described a 21-year-old man with erythematous papules and vesicles distributed on the left side of the abdomen and left upper limb; microscopic examination of his skin lesions showed features of both blaschkitis and lichen striatus, including hyperkeratosis, acanthosis, spongiosis, and lichenoid infiltrates in the dermis [ 3 ].…”

“…There are reported cases of blaschkitis occurring in children and lichen striatus occurring in adults, showing an overlap in the clinical and histologic features of these conditions. 2 , 5 This finding has led to consideration of these conditions within a spectrum of BLAISE. 5 , 6 This category encompasses blaschkitis and lichen striatus and the rare blaschkoid and linear presentations of several other common inflammatory dermatoses, including lichen nitidus, lichen planus, atopic dermatitis, graft-versus-host disease, lupus erythematosus, and psoriasis.…”
