Abstract:Green and biobased solvents are gaining increased interest as possible alternatives to organic solvents in multiple processes. The knowledge of liquid−liquid equilibria (LLE) of systems containing these groups of solvents is necessary for designing greener processes with biphasic liquid systems. In this study, the LLE values of the systems 2-methyltetrahydrofuran + ethanol + water, 2-methyltetrahydrofuran +1-butanol + water, cyclopentyl-methyl-ether + ethanol + water, and cyclopentyl-methyl-ether +1butanol + w… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
