Abstract:This article reviews contributions to teaching reading and writing of Myriam Nemirovsky, whose conceptualization foreshadowed an emancipatory pedagogy. To do so, we have reviewed her work and interviewed three of her colleagues: Elena Laiz Sasiain, Liliana Tolchinsky Brenman and Francesco Tonucci.
