Abstract: Newborn screening for cystic fibrosis (CF) occasionally results in an inconclusive diagnosis of this disease, and these individuals are designated as CFTR‐related metabolic syndrome (CRMS) in the United States, and CF Screen Positive Inconclusive Diagnosis (CFSPID) in other countries.
