The trend of students with disabilities attending secondary schools providing inclusive education in Indonesia is rising. This trend requires teachers as a key person to offer learning that suits the needs and abilities of each student, including those with disabilities. This research portrays how chemistry teachers provided alternative modes of representation as one of the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Three teacher participants from three schools providing inclusive education (SPIE) in the Special Province of Yogyakarta were recruited purposively and agreed to be interviewed on how they varied the chemistry content format. A descriptive method was used and directed content analysis was applied to analyze the data. The findings demonstrated that chemistry learning content were created more accessible for students with disabilities. Three chemistry teacher participants demonstrated that they implemented the principle of Multiple Means of Representation of UDL in a simple manner. The participants created learning objectives without modifying them to suit the student’s abilities. Learning content was offered in various ways and delivered with some strategies. Chemistry teacher participants demonstrated how they provided various assessments to gain students with disabilities opportunities to show their understanding.

This research describes the initial study to develop e-modules based on student perceptions. This type of research is descriptive which was conducted in seven high schools in Padang based on school level with 667 students as respondents. Data were obtained using a questionnaire of student needs for teaching materials consisting of four indicators, namely student characteristics, implementation of physics learning, use of teaching materials in physics learning, and student needs for teaching materials. The results showed that as many as 67% of students experienced difficulties in physics subjects, supported by 53% of teachers who provided feedback at the end of each physics lesson and 45% of teaching materials used were less varied, in other words 80% of students needed other learning resources containing text, images and learning videos that were studied independently. The results of this study are expected to be the basis for the development of e-modules and efforts to improve the quality of physics learning in high school.

The lack of learning media and the use of conventional learning strategies are the main focus of this research. This research aims to analyze the design, validity, and effectiveness of character education-based E-Book in Civics subject for grade IV elementary school. This research uses the ADDIE development model. The data collection methods used in this study were interviews, questionnaires, and observations, and were analysed using quantitative descriptive statistics, and inferential (t-test). The E-Book development design consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the validity ranging from content, design, media, individual, and small group test get very good qualifications. Based on the results of the t-test, it is concluded that the character education-based E-Book is effective in learning Civics grade IV at elementary school. The implications of the research have an impact on motivating teachers' insights to create interesting learning media by utilising technology and the ease of students getting learning materials independently anytime and anywhere and applying knowledge and character values obtained from E-Book in daily life.
