“…UHMWPE sutures are a non-resorbable option currently chosen by many orthopaedic doctors for application in surgical repairs of torn soft tissues, i.e., ligaments, tendons, or menisci, or to fix artificial or allogenic implants to the surrounding tissue (e.g., meniscal implants).
