More studies and meta-analyses report hypertransaminasemia in 9% to 42% of adult patients with CD and 24% to 40% of pediatric patients with CD (5)(6)(7)(8)(9)(10)(11)(12)(13)(14)(15)(16)(17). In addition, the reported pooled prevalence of CD in patients with cryptogenic hypertransaminasemia is 4% in adults and 1.8% in children (16,18).…”
