Abstract:The secretarybird (Sagittarius serpentarius) is a threatened African raptor species, and as such requires conservation attention. While the species is managed under a European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA) Ex‐situ Programme (EEP), no studies of mortality are currently available.
