Load frequency stabilization of stand‐alone hybrid distributed generation system using QOHS algorithm

Abstract: The proposed work studies the frequency stability of the identified hybrid power network (HPS) model with the integration of RESs and ESDs. The research work depicted here includes load frequency issue pertaining to isolated mode of operations with uncertainties in power oscillations of wind and solar energy. The studied HPS model is constitute of three wind turbine generators, two solar thermal generators, three diesel engine generators, an aqua electrolyzer and two fuel-cells as generating units while batter… Show more

“…The potential impact of communication delay on the DR method is an intriguing aspect that references [22], [23] could further explore to uncover valuable insights. While some studies have investigated the use of DR for frequency stabilization problems in the presence of RES penetration [40], real-time assessment remains largely unexplored. The influence of DR for grid frequency stabilization with communication lag, considering the intermittent behavior of RES and system non-linear constraints, has yet to be investigated.…”

“…ESTs, energy sources, and artificial virtual inertia are a few of the strategies frequently employed in off-grid mode to maintain frequency [15]. One μG's capacity is restricted, and it can be affected by a number of different nonlinear random fluctuations, where a two area mixed μG with solar thermal generator, biodiesel generators, storage elements, and a DC bus where examined for its ability to adjust frequency [16,17].…”

“…To improve a certain target or a grouping of purposes, the main advantages that have been researched in the literature include a reduction in power losses and grid performance enhancement [13][14][15][16][17][18]. A voltage sensitivity index and a voltage profle improvement indicator (VPII) were adopted for DG placement to minimize power loss [19].…”
