Hazardous healthcare waste (HCW) management system is one of the most critical urban systems affected by the COVID-19 pandemic due to the increase in waste generation rate in hospitals and medical centers dealing with infected patients as well as the degree of hazardousness of generated waste due to exposure to the virus. In this regard, waste network flow would face severe problems without taking care of hazardous waste through disinfection facilities. For this purpose, this study aims to develop an advanced decision support system based on a multi-stage model that was combined with the random forest recursive feature elimination (RF-RFE) algorithm, the indifference threshold-based attribute ratio analysis (ITARA), and measurement of alternatives and ranking according to compromise solution (MARCOS) methods into a unique framework under the Fermatean fuzzy environment. In the first stage, the innovative Fermatean fuzzy RF-RFE algorithm extracts core criteria from a finite set of initial criteria. In the second stage, the novel Fermatean fuzzy ITARA determines the semi-objective importance of the core criteria. In the third stage, the new Fermatean fuzzy MARCOS method ranks alternatives. A real-life case study in Istanbul, Turkey, illustrates the applicability of the introduced methodology. Our empirical findings indicate that "Pendik" is the best among five candidate locations for sitting a new disinfection facility for hazardous HCW in Istanbul. Under the influence of circular economy theory, waste clothing recycling has been widely studied in the resource sector, and the waste clothing recycling channel (WCRC) is the vital link that affects the recycling efficiency of waste clothing. How to select the optimal WCRC is considered a typical multiple attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) problem. In this article, we develop sine trigonometric interaction operational laws (IOLs) (STIOLs) using Pythagorean fuzzy information. The sine trigonometric interaction Pythagorean fuzzy weighted averaging (STI-PyFWA) and sine trigonometric interaction Pythagorean fuzzy weighted geometric (STI-PyFWG) operators are advanced, and their several desirable properties are discussed. Further, we build a MAGDM framework based on the modified Pythagorean fuzzy CoCoSo (Combined Compromise Solution) method to solve the WCRC selection problem. The combined weight of attributes is determined, and the proposed aggregation operators (AOs) are applied to the CoCoSo method. A Pythagorean fuzzy distance measure is used to achieve the defuzzification of aggregation strategies. Finally, we deal with the WCRC selection problem for a sustainable environment by implementing the proposed method and performing sensitivity analysis and comparative study to validate its effectiveness and superiority.

In the evaluation problem of fishing vessel fishing capacity, the imperfect evaluation index system and the methods of evaluation indexes are mostly artificial qualitative evaluation methods, which lead to strong subjectivity and fuzziness as well as low accuracy of evaluation results. Therefore, this study introduces cloud model theory on the basis of improving the evaluation index system, converts the artificial qualitative evaluation results into the digital characteristics of clouds, realizes the mutual transformation of qualitative evaluation and quantitative evaluation, and improves the accuracy of evaluation results. Taking the trawler as an example, the cloud model method is used to evaluate the fishing capacity, and the result obtained is (77.1408, 1.6897, 0.0), the result obtained by the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is 76.664785, and the result obtained by the cloud center of gravity evaluation method is 0.7919. Compared with the other two methods, the cloud model method uses three numerical characteristics to describe the results, and combining the different numerical characteristics meanings, the evaluation results can be judged to be accurate, and the influence of ambiguity on the results is greatly reduced. Meanwhile, the evaluation results can be presented in the form of pictures, and the results are more intuitive; in addition, the cloud model of the evaluation results is compared with the standard cloud model for similarity, which improves the credibility and authenticity of the results.
