Loading Decrease in Metallurgical Machines

Abstract: The study shows that it is necessary to know running quality (that is load-deflection curve) in order to estimate load degree on machines power lines. Running qualities are limited on the maximal loads (durability). It should be also known the impact parameter points (energy or deformation). Their superposition on the running quality allows determining generated loads degree in machine power line. It is possible to decrease the generated loads to the safest level by changing power line running quality with the… Show more

“…Their elements are exposed to significant dynamic loads and high temperatures. Need to develop a methodology for strength calculations of traverse elements of casting cranes was justified earlier [1][2][3][4][5] that would allow to: consider their actual working conditions, increase accuracy of calculations, increase their reliability and safety of operation. It was shown [6] that actual values of inertial loads during crane moving may exceed values considering during its design.…”

“…Especially big alternating loads are on reversing rolling stands [1]. Dynamics of rolling stands can result in their expensive accidental breakdowns [2][3][4]. In addition, dynamics results in plastic deformation of housings windows, facing strips, lining straps and chocks [5,6].…”
