Sex recession is increasing from year to year in various countries. This phenomenon has the opportunity and potential to have a negative impact on the future of the younger generation and even the world’s population because it causes harm to many aspects, such as economic, political, socio-cultural, and religious aspects. This article aims to describe the law of sex recession from the viewpoint of Islamic marriage law and seeks to formulate the concept of policies to minimize sex recession in the world, especially in Indonesia, through maqashid sharia as the basis for its formation. The research method used is juridical-normative with a philosophical and conceptual approach. The theory used is maqashid sharia. The results of this research show that the sexual recession threatens the life of the nation and state. This is proven by the many impacts experienced by many countries, both from an economic, socio-cultural, political, and religious perspective. So, countries are flocking to make policies to reduce the sex recession. The authors offer policy concepts that can be considered, such as strengthening pre-marital education, increasing family resilience, efforts to minimize divorce, and building awareness in the Muslim community regarding marriage law, where these policies are conceptualized based on maqashid sharia. Policies that have clear direction can minimize the sexual recession effectively and efficiently in people’s lives.

Anti-suicide themes in popular Ghanaian music

The current article presents the results of a content analysis of a popular Ghanaian gospel song with anti-suicide themes and lyrics that have great potential to prevent suicidal behavior among listeners. The analysis was conducted against a backdrop of public intimations that suicide rates in the country were rising. The results of the analysis show that several lines in the lyrical text implore the listener to resist suicide while offering messages of patience, hope and encouragement, that can serve as preventative to suicide. It is impossible to quantify the full impact of the song on listeners and there is no way of knowing how many suicides have been prevented by the lyrical text of the song and the accompanying video presentation of events captured in the video. That the song has had a powerful impact on people who listen to it is evident in the listeners/viewers comments left at the site of the song/video. The final segment of the article provides excerpts from some individuals’ experiences with the song. The message of hope in the song, that things will get better has had a major effect on people.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memotret pemberlakuan teori agensi di Suku Boti dalam pengelolaan dana desa (hubungan keagenan antara pemerintah dan masyarakat suku boti) dan membandingkannya dengan teori fungsionalisme. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah etnografi. Teknik pengumpulan data, dilakukan dengan dua cara yakni observasi dan wawancara etnografis. Alur penelitian menggunakan 9 langkah Spradley yaitu (1) mencari dan menetapkan Informan, (2) mengajukan pertanyaan deskriptif, (3) melakukan analisis wawancara dan domain, (4) mengajukan pertanyaan struktural, (5) Membuat analisis taksonomik, (6) Mengajukan pertanyaan kontras, (7) Membuat analis komponen, (8) Menentukan tema-tema budaya, dan (9) menulis etnografi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan yaitu analisis domain, analisis taksonomi, dan analisis komponensia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam pengelolaan dana desa di Suku Boti teori agensi tidak berlaku. Adapun yang berlaku adalah teori fungsionalsime dimana nilai Budaya Hailaka sebagai budaya dari masyarakat Suku Boti menjadi acuan dan kerangka utama dalam bertindak dibandingkan dengan aturan pemerintah. Masyarakat Suku Boti telah menjadikan nilai Budaya Halaika sebagai pedoman hidup. Budaya Halaika menjadi nilai terpenting dalam seluruh aspek kehidupan masyarakat termasuk dalam pengelolaan dana desa. Budaya Halaika mengkonstruksi seluruh aspek kehidupan masyarakat Suku Boti.
