Abstract:Interspecies crossing and allopolyploidization increase the opportunity for generating new breeding resources for fish farming. Allotetraploid hybrid fish (4nAT) were created by crossing red crucian carp (RCC, Carassius auratus red var., ♀) with common carp (CC, Cyprinus carpio L., ♂). However, the genetic pattern of the heterogeneous genomes during gametogenesis in 4nAT is still unclear, which hinders the understanding of the mechanism of generation of new phenotypes during allopolyploidization in fish breedi… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
