Localized calcium accumulations prime synapses for phagocyte removal in cortical neuroinflammation

Abstract: Cortical pathology contributes to chronic cognitive impairment of patients suffering from the neuroinflammatory disease multiple sclerosis (MS). How such gray matter inflammation affects neuronal structure and function is not well understood.
