Long term effects of phlebotomy on biochemical and histological parameters of chronic hepatitis C

Abstract: These results suggest that phlebotomy with maintenance lowers serum aminotransferase levels, improves liver inflammation, and suppresses the progression of liver fibrosis in chronic hepatitis C.
