“…Prior studies have focused on medium-and long-term durability of this procedure by focusing on femorofemoral bypass-specific and device complications. 14 Although EVAR with an AUI graft may provide the possibility of intervention for a greater anatomic range of aneurysms, our study shows that this procedure is associated with a significant 33% rate of occlusion and stenosis of the contralateral IIA. Given that the selection of AUI endovascular devices over bifurcated devices in a given patient may be highly influenced by the presence of iliac artery tortuosity and aortic bifurcation or by iliac occlusive disease, that iliac malperfusion occurs in this patient population is perhaps not surprising.…”
