Low-energyππscattering in the large-Nclimit of QCD

Abstract: An extension of Weinberg's approach is applied to the aa-scattering amplitude of the leading order in 1 / N , . The resulting sum rules (SR's) restrict the masses and widths of aa resonances providing dualitylike properties of the aa amplitude and enable us to express constants of chiral Lagrangians in terms of resonance parameters. The numerical verification of SR's displays agreement with present experimental information and consistency with the results of some models.

“…Thus, in this particular case the correcting polynomials of the degree N ensure the convergence of the partial fraction expansion (5) for the asymptotic low (9) with D < N + 2, the presence of ν N corresponding to the asymptotic behavior (9) with N ≤ D < N + 2 . The usefulness of the technique developed in this Section is explained by the fact that meromorphic functions with fiberwise given Regge asymptotics appear naturally in the framework of effective hadron field theory.…”

“…In fact it was shown in the first of [30] that the molecular form can be transformed using Fierz identities to a linear combination of the "diquark-antidiquark" forms. We thus assume that some unspecified linear combination of M (2) , M (3) and M (4) , denoted by M ′ , represents the qqqq chiral nonet which mixes with M . The decomposition into pseudoscalar and scalar fields is given by,…”

“…Holdom (1) Apart from the relation of the large N c limit, there is an additional relation in the local χQM: 2L 2 + L 3 = 0. The dual-resonance model has the same relation [23,24]. However, the quantity 2L 2 + L 3 is not equal to zero in the present model.…”
