Abstract:We investigate the low-energy scattering properties of two identical particles interacting via the polarized quadrupolar interaction. It is shown that a series of $s$- and $p$-wave resonances appear for identical bosons and fermions, respectively, as the strength of the quadrupolar interaction increases. Interestingly, scattering resonances also appear on the generalized scattering length corresponding to the coupling between the $s$ and $d$ waves. This observation inspires us to propose a new pseudopotential … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
