Abstract: Continuous HIV treatment is necessary to ensure successful combined antiretroviral therapy (cART). The aim of this study was to evaluate the incidence of patient-initiated non-structured treatment interruptions in HIV-infected persons who inject drugs and who received a multidisciplinary comprehensive program, including medical HIV care, drug-dependence treatment and psychosocial support, at a drug outpatient addiction center. “…‘Reasons for Previous TI’ was coded as (i) no previous TI, (ii) previous TI due to AE and (iii) previous TI due to other reasons (Figure ) and ‘Previous TI Duration’ variable was coded as (i) 0–14 days, (ii) 15–30 days, (iii) 31–180 days, (iv) 181–365 days and (vi) >365 days.
