Low‐Temperature Sn0 Nanoparticles Synthesis by Means of Tin(II) N,N‐Complexes Reduction

Abstract: A novel low‐temperature liquid phase synthesis of the Sn0 nanoparticles has been reported. The effect of different reducing agents (Li[AlH4], K[BEt3H], Na[BH4]) on the reduction of the two different N,N‐coordinated SnII complexes has been described. The influence of the different imino‐pyridine chelating ligands to the synthesis of the Sn0 particles, their separation and the usage of surfactant for resuspendation to nanocolloid has been studied.
