Low-temperature thermodynamic properties of Pt(C5H7O2)2

Abstract: The heat capacity of Pt(C 5 H 7 O 2 ) 2 was measured in the temperature range (6-311) K by adiabatic calorimetry and found to be without transitions or thermal anomalies. The data obtained were used to calculate its thermodynamic functions (entropy, enthalpy, reduced Gibbs energy) in the range (0-310) K. They have the following values at 298.15 K: C p,m°= (292.8 ± 0.5) J mol -1 K -1 , D 0 298.15 S m°= (361.4 ± 0.9) J mol -1 K -1 , D 0 298.15H m°= (51.35 ± 0.09) kJ mol -1 , U m°= (189.2 ± 0.7) J mol -1 K -1 .
