Lower Paleocene foraminiferal assemblages from the Tibeisale Formation in the Arctic region of Western Siberia

Abstract: Bioerosion structures, such as holes, pits, and grooves, found on the surface of benthic foraminiferal tests from the Upper Cretaceous and Paleogene of Western Siberia have been analysed. The morphology is examined, their potential origin and the paleogeographic and stratigraphic distribution within sections illustrating marine basins of Western Siberia are discussed. The assemblage of ichnospecies under examination comprises Oichnus simplex
