“…All the Italian herbaria (paying special attention to NAP, where most of Tenore's collection is conserved) and many European herbaria (B, BEOU, BREM, BRNM, JE, K, P, PR, PRC, SIBG, UPS, W, WU) were consulted or visited in order to search for Tenore's original material for the name Quercus dalechampii. Although most of the original material found was lacking the date of collection, this was not a major problem since other pieces of evidence were present that supported the material's status as original (see Peruzzi, 2006;Peruzzi & al., 2012). States for the following characters were recorded: leaf pubescence (abaxial, adaxial), leaf shape (blade, contour, lobe shape, depth of sinus between lobes, apex shape, base shape), young twig pubescence, petiole length, cupule pubescence, cupule scale shape and fruiting peduncle length.…”
