<title>Modeling of the photoluminescence spectra of localize excitons in Zn<formula><inf><roman>1-x</roman></inf></formula> Cd<formula><inf><roman>x</roman></inf></formula>Se quantum wells</title>
Abstract:We present a model for the calculation of the emission spectra of localized excitons in Zni_CdSe quantum wells (QWs). The model takes into account the dependence of localization energy (Ei0) on (i) the lateral size of the islands, (ii) the island size distribution, and, (iii) the exciton island population as a function of temperature. The model includes exciton migration assisted by acoustical phonons. The calculation is illustrated for the case of a 10 ML thick Zno8Cdo2Se/ZnSe QW.
