<title>Transfer matrix approach to the design of InP/InGaAsP ARROW structures</title>

Abstract: The transfer matrix method is employed to analyze the modal propagation within antiresonant reflecting optical waveguides (ARROW) implemented in InP/InGaAsP multilayer planar structures. The analysis provides an accurate picture of dispersion and attenuation of TE polarized waves at the operational wavelength of 1.55 pm.
