: Characteristics and Experiences

Abstract: Jutge.org is an open educational online programming judge designed for students and instructors, featuring a repository of problems that is well organized by courses, topics and difficulty. Internally, Jutge.org uses a secure and efficient architecture and integrates modern verification techniques, formal methods, static code analysis and data mining. Jutge.org has exhaustively been used during the last decade at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya to strengthen the learning-by-doing approach in several c… Show more

“…Through educational data mining ( Santos and Boticario, 2015 ; Yang et al, 2021 ), learning analytics ( Franzoni et al, 2020 ) and other data collection and analysis methods, the behavioral patterns and emotional differences of personalized students can be analyzed to improve the management ability of the system. Based on suggestions in the literature on the multi-dimensional and overall research direction, social networks can be supported by computer programming and educational artificial intelligence games to promote the development of artificial intelligence applications in online education ( Kuk et al, 2017 ; Petit et al, 2018 ). Therefore, the combination of educational games and artificial intelligence is a vital approach for studies on using artificial intelligence in teaching.…”

“…Indeed, programming has become recognized as a core literacy [1]. Programming skills are developed primarily through repetitive practice, and many universities [2][3][4][5] have created their own programming learning platforms to facilitate such practice by their students. These platforms are often used for programming competitions and serve as automated assessment tools for programming courses [6].…”
