LTE Base Stations Localization

Abstract

Abstract. Direction-of-arrival (DoA) estimation algorithm for LTE base stations (BSs) is proposed in the paper. The algorithm is assumed using of mobile receiver station (MRS) with antenna array and is based on the analysis of peaks of cell-specific reference signal (CRS) autocorrelation functions (ACFs). Line of sight (LoS) identification is also provided by the algorithm. As a comparison, DoA estimation algorithms for raw signal and for primary synchronization signal (PSS) ACFs peaks are observed. It is shown, that proposed algorithm provides the best accuracy in DoA estimation.
